Position Summary:

The Capital Markets Analyst is responsible for coordinating seed capital, exchange listings, and secondary market trading for new tactical and strategic products, fostering relationships with market makers and Authorized Participants (APs), as well as ensuring market quality in ProShares products.

The Analyst will report into the Head of Capital Markets and his/her efforts are in support of all facets of the organization, with a primary focus on launching new products and supporting market quality initiatives in ProShares ETFs.

 Essential Job Functions[1]:

  • Manage secondary market trading of a product launch – including recommending product structural characteristics that will facilitate liquidity, ensuring back-office readiness, and coordinating with sales and marketing.
  • Monitor, recommend, and execute product structural enhancements that will improve market quality in ProShares. Product enhancements include index changes, share price splits, creation/redemption process improvements, and other changes that impact product market quality.
  • Develop and foster relationships with ETF market makers, options market makers and APs.
  • Develop content that will provide ProShares, its clients, and its prospects with insights into ProShares ETF’s liquidity to facilitate sales and overcome liquidity objections.
  • Develop and maintain a system for monitoring and quantifying the impact of ProShares options on assets, flows, and volume.
  • Assist both institutional clients and advisors with accessing ETF liquidity on a day-to-day basis and partnering with our sales teams to close business.
  • Real-time monitoring and resolving market quality issues.
  • Summarize and distribute standard reporting such as:
    • Board materials.
    • Quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily market quality reports.
    • LMM and Exchange report cards.
    • Create and maintain tactical dashboard in order to monitor trading trends.
  • Coordinate AP Agreements and updates to AP handbooks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience with ‘40 Act products, including exchange traded funds or mutual funds.
  • Outstanding project management skills, including the ability to manage complex business processes through influence when all the resources necessary for a successful outcome are not directly under the individual’s control. A track record of execution success is a key attribute.
  • BS in Economics or Finance is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg.

  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Broad-based technical capabilities, forward-thinking and a team player.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong aptitude for multi-tasking and executing within short timelines.

 The compensation for this position includes salary and incentive pay. The annual base salary range for this role is $90,000-$130,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation. Total compensation may vary based on experience, role, location, department, and individual performance.
