Are you passionate about building software solutions to solve real customer problems? Do you like fast-paced work environments? Are you passionate about modern programming languages, design patterns, and scalable architectures? You’ll be right at home here!

You will be joining the Enterprise Systems tech community, the vital architectural backbone where Realtor.com’s most ambitious strategic initiatives transform into reality. Our team doesn't just manage software; we build the high-speed 'engine room' that powers the entire business lifecycle—integrating complex sales, billing, inventory, and fulfillment platforms into a seamless, high-scale ecosystem. At Realtor, you will be part of a forward-thinking community dedicated to compressing the distance between business intent and execution. We research and deploy cutting-edge autonomous workflow engines to ensure our customers and internal partners have a best-in-class, friction-free experience. We strive to innovate by building self-healing infrastructures and AI-driven automation that make the transaction journey faster and more intelligent than ever before. Join us to push the boundaries of what’s possible, turning traditional systems of record into dynamic engines of growth, while learning from world-class talent in a culture that thrives on experimentation and impact.

We believe in leveraging the best tools to solve problems faster. You will be expected to utilize AI coding assistants and LLMs proficiently to accelerate development velocity, generate boilerplate, and troubleshoot complex debugging scenarios. Beyond simple usage, this role requires critical judgment to verify AI-generated outputs for security, performance, and accuracy. You should be comfortable integrating AI tooling into your daily workflow to eliminate repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus on high-impact architectural and strategic engineering challenges.

Top Reasons to Apply:

  • The Opportunity: As a Principal Salesforce Engineer, you will be the lead architect of our mission-critical Salesforce platform. You will design the "paved paths" that allow data to flow effortlessly between Salesforce, our broader enterprise ecosystem to power advanced analytics and Agentforce autonomous workflows. Your deep technical expertise in both declarative and programmatic development will ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and ready for the AI-first era.
  • The Scale: We’re managing massive datasets to empower millions of users in a high-velocity 2026 market.
  • The Tech Evolution: We’re currently leaning into AI-integrated search and real-time data streaming to stay ahead of the 14% surge in market activity.
  • The Impact: Realtor.com is currently the 'Purposeful Portal' for the industry. While the 2026 market is finally stabilizing, the complexity of the transaction remains the biggest hurdle for Americans. By joining as a Principal Engineer, you aren't just managing a CRM; you’re building the high-speed engine that compresses the distance between a buyer’s intent and their new front door.

What will you be doing?

  • Architect Multi-Cloud Solutions: Design and implement robust, high-availability architectures across Sales, CPQ, Service, and Marketing Clouds that support Realtor.coms core business functions.
  • Lead AI & Agentic Innovation: Spearhead the deployment of Agentforce and Einstein GPT, moving from user-initiated tasks to event-driven, autonomous
    agents that own business outcomes

  • Uphold Engineering Excellence: Define and enforce standards for code quality (Apex, LWC), security (Zero-Trust), and DevOps (CI/CD) to ensure platform stability and 99.9% availability.
  • Mentor & Influence: Act as a technical mentor to Senior and Lead engineers across multiple squads, driving consensus on complex architectural decisions through RFCs and design reviews.
  • Optimize Performance: Deep-dive into complex performance bottlenecks, optimizing SQL queries, async processing, and platform limits to handle rising data volumes.

What will you bring?

  • Extensive Platform Expertise: 12+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with a proven track record of delivering global enterprise-scalevsolutions.
  • Deep Technical Roots: Expert-level proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced Flows, with a strong intuition for when to use "clicks vs. code".

  • Systems Architecture: Mastery of integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and managing complex multi-org or consolidated environments.
  • Security & Compliance Mastery: Deep understanding of the Salesforce security model (Shield, Event Monitoring) and its alignment with global standards like GDPR and CCPA.
  • Advanced Certifications: At least one Architect-level certification (e.g., Application, System, or Integration Architect). Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
or AI Specialist is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
