Who is Re:CAM?

Re:CAM is codename for a new business launching within Re:Build Manufacturing. Incubated within our digital group, Re:CAM is developing a set of AI-powered, innovative software products to revolutionize the manual and tedious CNC machining process, with a mission to fully automate quoting, machining strategy, set-up, and toolpath programming. We are seeking a General Manager to lead the effort to drive these innovations to market and build a new member company. If successful, this company could seek external capital and get spun out as an independent entity to fuel its growth and fulfill its potential.

Who we are looking for

Reporting to the Chief Digital and Product Officer of Re:Build, supported by an advisory board drawn from within Re:Build, Re:CAM’s GM will have a high degree of autonomy to spearhead the development, commercialization, launch and profitable growth of new SaaS products. They will lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, ML scientists, product managers, and commercial staff. They will have access to CNC programmers, machinists, equipment, and domain experts across the Re:Build companies. It is expected that they will fully leverage these resources for the development, testing, and commercial delivery of Re:CAM’s various product offerings. As the business successfully develops, the GM will have the opportunity to build dedicated resources (personnel, facilities, processes, etc.) as needed and seek additional funding to support Re:CAM’s mission.

What you get to do

We seek a creative and motivated General Manager with experience in successfully launching software products in industrial markets to build the Re:CAM business and position it for significant growth. This role will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan to establish Re:CAM’s presence in target markets, develop an expanding portfolio of new products, and drive profitable sales. Make use of dedicated and Re:Build resources as necessary to optimize business growth and profitability.
  • Use industry knowledge, contextual research, and direct input from customers to drive product requirements, commercial insights, and marketing plans.
  • Lead all aspects of product development and portfolio design, coordinating efforts based on market trends and our expertise in innovative technical solutions.
  • Understand distribution, market opportunity and demand potential to develop bottoms up sales and operating plans and to deliver against those objectives.
  • Develop pricing and channel strategies for the portfolio of products – which may be different depending on the market and product positioning.
  • Gather and synthesize relevant inputs needed to build strategic and tactical plans for promotion strategy, advertising support, etc.
  • Explore, develop, and manage potential partner relationships – which may include strategic customers, marketing, branding, distribution, and licensing.
  • Develop comprehensive launch plans to bring new products to market on time and in a way to increase market potential.
  • Set and track achievements, breakthroughs, and critical path monitoring and management for product launches and ongoing operations.
  • With support from Re:Build, drive process improvements that enable the business to scale efficiently.
  • Own the P&L and lead the team to make solid operational and financial decisions to meet production, sales, income, and cash flow objectives.
  • Represent Re:CAM to potential investors.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 10-15 years of business leadership experience in software technology, preferably in industrial fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or equivalent
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in management or engineering a plus
  • An adaptable and collaborative approach that thrives in dynamic environments
  • Demonstrated performance in leading successful new product launches and scaling commercially
  • Highly motivated, with a bias for action and passion customer engagement

  • Organized and in possession of demonstrable analytical skills
  • Strong financial competence
  • Start-up or new business building experience is a plus

If Re:CAM is spun out into a standalone company, there’s an equity opportunity to be determined by the company’s Board.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
