Sales Engineer

Remote

We Are

At RelationalAI, we are enabling the future of data-centric systems that learn, reason, and predict, built on our cloud-native relational knowledge graph management system. We are bringing together a global team of exceptional people who inspire and respect one another to achieve our mission.

We are intellectually curious, with problem-solving mindsets and a proven track record of delivering results. We value the ability to learn, grow, and respond to an ever-changing landscape of challenges and opportunities as much as we value past experience.

RelationalAI is a remote-first company that has been operating with a distributed team since day one.  We are based on six continents, support team members wherever they live, and are fluent in the tools and processes of distributed and often asynchronous work.

About the Sales Engineering Team

Sales Engineers at RelationalAI serve as the trusted technical advisors for our customers and often act as the key translator and facilitator across functional groups. They use their knowledge of the competitive landscape, industry trajectory and prevailing market trends to drive business value, offer advice, and support our customers as they deploy solutions.

Rel Practitioners at RelationalAI leverage deep knowledge of the Rel language and RAI's unique architecture to build data apps that prospects are dreaming about but have been unable to implement with existing legacy technologies. They combine their modeling, coding, database, graph, and ML/AI skills to demonstrate the business value of Rel and the Relational Knowledge Graph.

The Opportunity

At RelationalAI we are defining a new approach to developing analytic solutions or “Data Apps” utilizing the vast amounts of complex data now available to our customers.  As the complexity grows for both us and our customers, we are looking to our Sales Engineers to strategize and lead customers in use case discovery, RelationalAI evangelism, and oftentimes helping new users with concepts like declarative programming, business modellng, or AI/ML.

We are in search of insightful and intellectually curious pre-sales professionals looking for their next challenge.

What You Will Do

A Sales Engineer must be ready to interact and have technical discussions with data scientists and engineers, then demonstrate the value of RelationalAI in business discussions with company executives. The goal is to enable our customers to become successful and enthusiastic RelationalAI champions. A Sales Engineer has a key role internally as well. This position is dynamic and highly cross-functional. Armed with key customer insight and knowledge, a Sales Engineer must regularly work with the sales, product, engineering, support, and marketing teams.

As a member of the pre-sales team, a Sales Engineer will:

  • Work with Sales Reps to identify and call upon prospects
  • Position RAI’s product within the ecosystem of complementary tools, partners, and competitors
  • Perform deep dive discovery to identify customer data flows, key use cases and stakeholders, pain points and opportunities
  • Design and propose POCs and Pilots, including success criteria
  • Create sales collateral and other assets

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
