About the Role:
Lead EHS Specialists are the initiators and leaders for objectives related to EHS programs and strategy at Relativity’s locations. They facilitate a site’s implementation of objectives developed at a corporate level, create site/process specific policies and procedures, solve complex problems, and implement effective solutions. They are agile project managers, environmental compliance champions, safety culture drivers, and EHS subject matter experts.
- Driving complex incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
- Leading timely emergency response and management of critical path EHS incidents and escalations
- Leading collaboration on EHS representation to departments across the site, including production and engineering leadership, engineers, specialists, and technicians.
- Providing clear, timely communication of environmental and safety objectives across various stakeholders.
- Managing and tracking EHS performance metrics, department, and company objectives and goals.
- Developing and reviewing risk assessments, such as JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses).
- Implement EHS training across various work centers.
- Incorporate minimum requirements from EHS’ corporate office into factory operational programs
- Driving completion of environmental inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Driving internal EHS audits across all work centers to assess safety risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Monitor waste disposal, spill prevention, and assessing risks while driving mitigation controls to lower environmental risks.
- Driving initiatives that foster a positive safety culture and continued environmental compliance.
- Managing and developing a team of EHS Specialists on 2nd shift to meet company objectives and advancement.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Sciences (EPA, MDEQ) .
- Minimum of 8+ years' experience working in the EHS field.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a people leader.
- Project management of various safety programs in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Including, but not limited to: Confined Space, Crane, High Pressure, High Voltage, Industrial Hygiene and Laser Safety.
- Demonstrate innovative, technical approach to complex incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, Job Hazard Assessments and EHS policies and procedures.
- Strategic and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across varying departments and levels to provide subject matter expert (SME) EHS support.
- Advance of knowledge and experience with CalOSHA, SCAQMD, LARWQCB, CUPA, DTSC, RCRA and hazardous waste regulations.
- Advance skill in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.

- OSHA 30-Hour
- HAZWOPER 40-Hour
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- EMT certification and experience
This role is 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm)

Hiring Range:
$121,000 - $155,100 USD
