Financial Analyst – Corporate F&S (Finance & Strategy)

Location: Reno, NV

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for transforming numbers into actionable insights? Do you enjoy building financial models, streamlining planning processes, and driving strategic decision-making through clear storytelling and data? Are you excited to contribute to a growing FinTech company by shaping how corporate expenses are planned, monitored, and optimized? If so, we invite you to be a part of our innovative team.

As a Financial Analyst on Ridgeline’s Corporate Finance & Strategy team, you will play a key role in enabling operational excellence across the business by owning critical components of our FP&A processes. You’ll manage forecast models, deliver monthly business reviews, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive alignment between strategy and financial performance. This role requires both precision and creativity—you’ll automate workflows, improve reporting tools, and proactively surface insights to drive better business decisions. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies—including AI tools like ChatGPT and financial planning platforms such as Adaptive Planning—to modernize our approach to financial planning and analysis.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Corporate FP&A calendar—own data pulls, schedule templates, and coordinate budget submissions across all teams.
  • Maintain Adaptive Planning inputs—load actuals, update master data, and troubleshoot user issues in partnership with the Senior Analyst/System Admin.
  • Prepare monthly company business reviews—compile variance commentaries, refresh dashboards, and summarize key drivers for Finance leadership.
  • Develop driver-based models for corporate expense lines (e.g., software costs, headcount, benefits); highlight risks and opportunities against plan.
  • Run ad-hoc analyses—scenario modelling, headcount pacing, and expense deep-dives that help leadership make quick, informed decisions.
  • Partner with Accounting during close to ensure accurate accruals and classification for major corporate expense buckets.
  • Continuously improve processes—automate manual spreadsheet work, document SOPs, and suggest enhancements to Adaptive Planning or BI dashboards.

Skills Required:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work independently, think objectively, and interpret meaningful and insightful narratives from both quantitative as well as qualitative data
  • Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate as well as distill data into actionable information to drive results
  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi-faceted problems with effective solutions
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners, inclusive of senior members of management
  • Influential: Ability to influence at all levels, including the most senior executives in the company, with a demonstrated aptitude to work effectively within a matrixed team across multiple functional areas, and be assertive in driving successful management strategies
  • Execution driven: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and accuracy
  • Presentation Skills: Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small, and large groups
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive approach to enhancing system usability, automating manual tasks, and identifying opportunities to scale planning processes in alignment with company growth.

Job Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting—preferably supporting corporate cost centers (G&A, Facilities, IT, HR).
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables; array formulas or basic scripting a plus).
  • Hands-on familiarity with a planning or ERP system (Adaptive Planning, Workday, Anaplan, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business questions into financial models and explain variances to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication—concise, clear, and able to tailor the message to the audience.
