Position Summary/Objective:
The Sales Intern will support the increase of $GSV in the Foodservice/Convenience and Gas/Omni channels by working with KAMs to support new business development and sales execution activities. The role will be a mix of office based activities and customer facing sales interactions within the GTA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sales analysis – build sales reports and present trends, opportunities to Foodservice/C&G sales team
- Sales execution – field sales audits and store level selling to ensure product portfolio is in place. This will involve visiting stores and sites of our key customers in Foodservice and C&G where we have contracts in place and listing agreements (Compass Foodservice, Sysco Foodservice, Parkland Gas, Petro Canda etc.)
- Support Omni channel sales team with ensuring digital assets are standardized across platforms and provide prompts to guide consumer purchase
- Support Canadian Commercial sales team with ensuring customers digital platforms are updated and provide prompts to guide consumer purchase
- Additional duties to support Canadian Commercial Sales team as needed
Longer term project:
- Develop sales/marketing programs and sales strategy for College and University penetration – Project should determine what are key trends in C&U dining? What are student priorities for the products they consume on campus? How can we effectively reach students on Campus and encourage purchase of our brands? How can we expand distribution on C&U campuses? Develop sales deck to present to C&U customers and secure new product listings across Canada.
- In depth market research on School Nutrition Programs across Canada. Identify the major program operators in the 10 largest cities outside of Ontario. Understand current products used in these programs, number of schools and students serviced and product distribution method to the schools.
- Present findings and strategies to KAMs and CCLT
