Purpose of Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Sales Analyst to join our team, supporting the Riverside Natural Foods Grocery & Natural business. This role will be responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to optimize sales performance and ensure data-driven decision-making.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Supporting Strategic Sales growth for Riverside Natural Foods:

  • Company Values & Culture: Uphold Riverside’s Core Values, mission, and vision while fostering a fun, positive, and welcoming work environment.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Develop sales reports, dashboards, and forecasts to support strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Retail & Market Insights: Track market trends, competitive performance, and retailer POS data to provide recommendations for sales strategies.
  • Trade Spend & Revenue Management: Analyze trade spend, pricing, and margins to provide insights on promotional effectiveness and revenue growth. Support account and business planning efforts, including volume submissions.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with the sales team to ensure data accuracy, enhance reporting processes, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Other Duties: Contribute to special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Creative thinker with a track record of identifying challenges, implementing effective solutions, and making informed decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Strong ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, effectively present ideas, negotiate, and actively listen. Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key business partners.
  • Teamwork & Leadership: Energetic and passionate team player with ambition, competitiveness, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite and sales-related software, with a strong understanding of business analytics and financials. Tech-savvy and able to navigate modern applications.
  • Organization & Time Management: Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3+ years of work experience in field
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and ability to work on several deliverables simultaneously.
  • MS Excel advanced level and ability to create confidently draw conclusions from data.
