We’re looking for  dedicated and ambitious data science leaders to help us accelerate product growth through world-class experimentation, analysis, and data-informed strategy. Your work will directly influence the roadmap, uncover new opportunities, and improve the trading experience for millions of users. As a Data Scientist  you'll be part of a high-impact, cross-functional group working closely with partners across product, engineering, user research, design, marketing, finance, and operations. Together, you’ll unlock the power of data to shape the future of Robinhood products and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

This role is based in our [Menlo Park, CA] office, with in-person attendance expected at least [3] days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Perform deep-dive analyses to identify product growth opportunities and drive improvements in core business metrics.
  • Design, plan, implement, and analyze A/B experiments, and conduct causal inference analysis to evaluate product changes.
  • Define and maintain key product performance metrics; build scalable dashboards to monitor these metrics and inform decision-making.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and narratives to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners, collaborators, and senior leadership.
  • Lead and implement large-scale analytics projects to uncover user insights, inform product strategy, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven decision-making into product and business processes.
  • Mentor other data scientists, contribute to standard methodologies, and help foster a data-informed culture across the organization.

What you bring

  • Proven expertise in data science, with a strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong programming skills in Python & SQL, or other relevant languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Ability to successfully implement projects and compete in a fast-paced environment.
  • PhD or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering or natural sciences and at least 5-10 years of experience developing and deploying predictive models.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Base Pay Range:

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$179,000 - $210,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$157,000 - $185,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$139,000 - $164,000 USD
