ROLE OVERVIEW

Salt is seeking a Director of AI Transformation to lead and orchestrate the adoption and operationalization of artificial intelligence across the business. This is a senior-level role, ideal for a strategic, hands-on project leader who thrives in complex environments, can manage multiple cross-functional initiatives, and is passionate about driving innovation through emerging technologies.

You will be responsible for program-managing our AI roadmap—overseeing the implementation of tools and workflows, aligning teams, monitoring key deliverables, and ensuring timely execution. This role blends project management, change leadership, and AI curiosity to transform how Salt works.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program Leadership: Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of Salt’s AI transformation initiatives across departments

  • Project Oversight: Track, prioritize, and coordinate multiple AI-related workstreams, ensuring milestones are hit and teams are accountable

  • Tool & Process Tracking: Maintain a centralized understanding of which AI tools (custom-built or third-party) are being tested, implemented, or evaluated across the company

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the connective tissue between technical teams, business units, and leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment on goals and resources

  • Change Enablement: Drive adoption of new processes and tools by partnering with team leads, providing documentation, training plans, and support

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify blockers or risks to delivery and lead efforts to resolve them with relevant owners

  • Reporting & Transparency: Provide regular updates to the executive team on progress, learnings, and key outcomes

  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback, monitor effectiveness of AI implementations, and propose optimizations or shifts in direction as needed


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Experience:

  • 7+ years in project or program management, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Experience leading transformation initiatives (digital, AI, or operational)

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI tools, SaaS platforms, and change management frameworks

Skills:

  • Exceptional organization and prioritization

  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder diplomacy

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to simplify complexity

  • Strategic thinker who can also execute in the weeds

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience with AI implementation (e.g., workflow automation, copilots, data modeling, prompt engineering)

  • Technical literacy (you don’t need to code, but should be AI-curious and quick to learn)

  • 1–3 years of marketing experience with hands-on program execution for clients

  • Strong communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver

  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of O365, social, and digital platforms

  • Passionate about marketing, partnerships, and making an impact
