The Opportunity 

Springboard is launching a 10-week bootcamp in Machine Learning for high-potential junior & mid-level data scientists and engineers across diverse teams and organizations. This course focuses on up skilling  machine learning skills to enable our client to create more advanced models that their organization can leverage for strategic decision making. We are primarily focusing on deep learning in this course.

We are currently seeking instructors to lead our live sessions that will cover preparing data for machine learning, when to use machine learning versus basic statistical models, building and debugging machine learning models, and deploying models to a production environment. These sessions will leverage Python, Jupyter notebooks, and a variety of industry standard machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, Keras, pandas, and Seaborn,  The sessions shall be interactive and will focus on the clarification of concepts in the course material, practical application, and group facilitation. 

The Springboard course development team will come up with the exact topics to be covered in each session, the basic lesson plan for each session, and a slide deck based on this lesson plan. However, we will lean on you to take it ahead and finalize the lesson plan for the sessions you would want to conduct, based on your experience and insights. You would then deliver the session live to our learners. 

Responsibilities 

  • Deliver three different 90-mins virtual sessions designed by our course development team. 
  • Engage students in a class setting and facilitate discussions 
  • Answer questions and troubleshoot issues with students 
  • Provide feedback to our course development team for improvements 

You 

  • Are as passionate about teaching Machine Learning as you are about Machine Learning itself
  • Experienced in virtual workshop facilitation with a gift for engaging remote learners and managing group dynamics in a virtual environment 
  • Are a great motivator and can guide students through difficult subjects
  • Have experience delivering lessons or workshops on Machine Learning
  • Have that rare combination of programming, statistics, and storytelling skills
  • Are empathetic and have excellent communication skills 
  • Possess working knowledge of Keras, Seaborn, ML Ops, model evaluation, deep learning, model optimization, and feature engineering
