Creative Strategist, Influencer Marketing

Los Angeles, CA

Small Girls PR is growing and we are looking for a Creative Strategist to join our influencer marketing team working primarily with household-name beauty brands.

There is no one-size-fits-all for an SGPR client which means your career will be further enriched with meaningful and diversified experience. We've taken on the main stage at CES, announced Esusu as one of the first Black-owned tech unicorns, cheered on the powerful women of the WNBA with a well known ticketing platform, helped pet owners communicate with their dogs through a psychic for Rover, and piloted influencer marketing programs for B2B brands. This team concepted “Ring’s Great Ghost Search,” a lighthearted campaign calling on consumers to capture ghosts on their home cameras. By enlisting Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard and an array of comedic influencers to participate, the campaign drove mass awareness and broad positive sentiment across earned media and social channels.

Note: This role can be based in either our NYC or LA office, working two days a week in the office on a hybrid schedule.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Support the digital team in the day-to-day execution and organization of paid and earned influencer partnerships and lead day-to-day client communications.
  • In partnership with junior staff, oversee all administrative tasks relating to the client (e.g. activity reports, client agendas, meeting schedules, etc.)
  • Support team wide project management helping to create and manage timelines, report on daily action items, and organize team materials so that the team functions with efficiency and efficacy
  • Execute paid and earned influencer campaigns. Conduct research and influencer audits, identify influencers & develop list builds, manage dashboards, conduct outreach to influencers, negotiate influencer rates and deliverables within budget, track and report on influencer placements
  • Conduct regular social listening to identify reactive opportunities, develop recommendations, and liaise with clients to gain approval to execute
  • Manage the account payables process, receiving influencer invoices and ensuring payment to partners
  • Participate in client calls and communication including influencer recommendations, campaign updates and client approvals
  • Establish and manage relationships with influencers, agents and vendors seeking to build and diversify your rolodex
  • Exercise sound judgment in determining how and where to spend OOP to ensure deliverables & client KPIs are met to spec, within budget, and under deadline - while rendering the most share-worthy campaigns and programs possible
  • Bring new, creative concepts to the agency’s and client’s brainstorms for your own accounts as well as lending a hand to those you are not staffed on
  • Mentor and oversee junior staff on execution of work

 Why we’ll love you:

  • Experience - Minimum of 2-3+ years of relevant experience within the influencer marketing space (agency or in-house), negotiating contracts, creating and managing successful influencer campaigns, and maintaining a strong network of influencer and agent relationships. **This is not an entry level position for recent graduates**
  • Organization - You have the ability to monitor progress of personal and team deliverables as well as the status of influencer deliverables and projects. You work well with integrated teams when called up, ensuring every individual is contributing to the team’s success
  • Detail-Oriented - Can spot a typo a mile away, diligent with formatting, double checks everything twice and never forgets or misses a deadline
  • Social Savvy - You know how to research industry trends for campaign ideas, creative content and influencer outreach. Your friends would consider you “chronically online” and you’re in-the-know about relevant trends, pop-culture moments or news. You have a strong understanding of platform and content best practices and are able to use that knowledge to amplify creator storytelling and content
  • Communication - You have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to instill client confidence on campaigns, content formats, storytelling moments, projects, and tasks
  • Solution-Oriented: You look for creative solutions to problems, providing ideas internally to improve team or company-wide processes
  • Content & Trend Obsessed - You scroll TikTok for hours in your spare time, you have a list of dream Twitch & YouTube influencers you’d love to work with someday, you’re the first to find a creator or content trend before they really pop off, you consume and are endlessly inspired by content & creators. You take all of this knowledge and connect the dots to your client, constantly suggesting ways to turn cultural trends into relevant, ownable campaigns that make others think, “wow I wish I thought of that!”
  • Eager to Learn & Collaborate - You are interested in growing linearly as an influencer expert and in beginning to understand integrated communications. You work well with individuals with specialties outside of your own (ex: earned press and event production) because of your excitement to bring in new perspectives, your willingness to understand their needs and your ability to collaborate for the greater good of the client

Why You'll Love Us:

  • Atypical Time Off - Generous PTO that scales with tenure, in addition to Summer Fridays, Day of Rests for mental health, Caregiving days, and time off for Unsick Days dedicated to preventative care
  • Deep Work Focus - Our Smalls In Sync program ensures you have dedicated time for collaboration and strategic solo work
  • Comprehensive Benefits - A 100% employer-covered medical plan, 401k match up to 4%, dental, vision, and more
  • Innovation Leadership - Our agency was amongst the first to offer client brand campaigns on TikTok (back when it was still called Musical.ly), has been recognized for pioneering unique HR policies live on The Today Show, and our AI Leadership committee has been training our employees at the intersection of PR and AI for over two years (not two months!)
  • Vibrant Culture - Employee-led committees shape company policy and organize team celebrations from book clubs to outings

At Small Girls PR, fairness and equity are incredibly important factors throughout our hiring process.  As a result, we have a set salary threshold for each role to ensure our teams are compensated equitably. Depending on experience, the salary threshold is $68,640 - $68,640

At SGPR we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
