The Role 

StarRez is seeking Director, Partnerships to lead the design, execution, and growth of our partner strategy. This is a high-impact, strategic role that sits at the center of our partner ecosystem, bridging product, go-to-market, and operational teams to drive meaningful, measurable value from our existing and future partners. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for expanding our global partner network, optimizing the performance of signed partners, and delivering joint value through product integrations, referral models, and co-selling opportunities. You'll be both an internal champion and external face of partnerships at StarRez, shaping how we engage with our partners and how those partnerships unlock value for our customers and business. 

 

Role Specifics 

  • Work Location: Remote (US) 
  • Travel: 5% (The percentage of travel is an estimation and can vary based on company needs.) 
  • Compensation Structure: In addition to the base salary listed below, this role is eligible for a bonus/commission plan.
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to our SVP, Corporate Development.

What You Will Own 

  • Own and expand the StarRez partner ecosystem across technology, channel, and service providers 
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic partner plans, including integration roadmaps, referral agreements, and go-to-market strategies 
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and coaching to the Partnerships team  
  • Evaluate and prioritize net new partnership opportunities aligned with company growth objectives 
  • Act as a cross-functional liaison with Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Leadership to campaign for partnership execution and alignment 
  • Create business cases and supporting analysis to justify resource allocation, integration effort, and value realization 
  • Build a scalable, repeatable partnership framework to support long-term growth 
  • Measure, report, and optimize partner performance based on influenced revenue, integration success, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or corporate development 
  • Demonstrated ability to both initiate and operationalize partnerships from sourcing, to negotiating, launching, and optimizing deals 
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with the ability to develop and defend business cases internally 
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Executive teams 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability in a fast-growing, scaling environment 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with external partners and internal teams 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience building and scaling a partner program in a B2B SaaS environment 
  • Background or familiarity with student housing, property management, or higher education ecosystems 
  • Previous success managing partner relationships across the full lifecycle 
  • Experience using data to tell a compelling story to internal and external stakeholders

$130,000 - $140,000 USD
