TEGNA Commercial Operations (TCO) is searching for a highly motivated individual to lead a team of continuity coordinators dedicated to providing exceptional service to TEGNA stations, clients, and stakeholders. This team is responsible for managing and entering commercial copy for local and national orders across all TEGNA stations. The ideal candidate must be extremely detailed, possess outstanding organizational skills, and be able to problem-solve under tight deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for success in this role. This position reports directly to the Director of Continuity and can be based in any TEGNA market.

Responsibilities:
•    Supervise a team responsible for the entry of linear commercial instructions for orders with high level of accuracy while providing exceptional customer service to clients, agencies and TEGNA stakeholders
•    Assist in confirming commercial copy from all delivery systems, FTP, and outside sources
•    Retrieve necessary information regarding traffic instructions and materials, view materials for quality control, and ensure material locations (in the material server and in WideOrbit) are up-to-date and accurate
•    Process same-day playlist changes if necessary and ensure all documentation is accurate
•    In coordination with the TEGNA Streaming Center (TSC), create accurate and standardized purge lists and purge materials for all TEGNA stations.
•    Implement and manage compliance with standard operating procedures for material entry, assigning traffic instructions and other items related to copy
•    Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•    Coordinate communication between the TEGNA Streaming Center (TSC), TCO, and local stations to meet daily log deadlines
•    Supervise team performance by training and coaching direct reports while offering guidance and support
•    Allocate national house numbers using a shared prefix
•    Provide back-up for the designated team when necessary
•    Verify copy allocation of team members for accuracy


Requirements:
•    Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred)
•    Minimum 5 years of copy, traffic, sales support or engineering/master control experience in broadcast, cable or radio
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure
•    Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills are a must
•    Ability to effectively solve problems with sense of urgency
•    Creative and able to adapt quickly to change
•    Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management
•    Proficient with computer software/applications, including Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel
•    WideOrbit traffic system knowledge (required)

Pay Range

$70,000 - $75,000 USD

Benefits: 

TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families. TEGNA offers two medical plan options for full and part-time employees through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, as well as access to dental and eye care coverage; fertility, surrogacy and adoption assistance; disability and life insurance.

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
