Human Resources Generalist

ROLE IMPACT

This role is a great opportunity to support a growing team and ensure TextUs recruits great employees and enables them to do their best work. As the right-hand person to the Director, HR, this individual will refine processes, contribute to cultural initiatives, and take ownership of key HR functions. Ideal for someone who thrives in a well-rounded HR Generalist role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruiting Top Tier Talent: 
    • Supports Director, HR, hiring managers, and recruiters in high-volume recruiting initiatives
    • Ensures best practices and data integrity within Greenhouse ATS to optimize the hiring process
    • Owns and maintains job descriptions for all roles, ensuring alignment with business needs
    • Conducts structured phone interviews and debriefs for entry-level positions
    • Provides reporting on recruiting trends and gathers hiring team feedback to continuously improve processes
  • Team Engagement:
    • Efficiently onboard team with the tools, information, and development opportunities needed for success and retention
    • Leads and continuously improves onboarding, working with the Director, HR to enhance the experience
    • Champions TextUs core values by leading by example and owning culture-building initiatives, including company events
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Owns and executes payroll processes, collaborating with Accounting and Finance for accuracy and efficiency
    • Subject matter expert in TextUs benefits, including FAMLI and state leave policies
    • Manages ACA and 401k reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Stays up to date on employment laws and proactively implements appropriate changes to TextUs
    • Maintains accurate employee data and ensures records are up to date
  • Process management & Improvement:
    • Owns and maintains accuracy of all employment documentation, including offer letters, severance agreements, and signing bonuses
    • Streamlines workflows in Greenhouse, Wiki Notion, Google Drive to enhance efficiency and improve the team member experience
    • Continuously evaluates and refines operational processes to support business growth

WHO YOU ARE

  • HR Acumen 
    • 2-4 years of experience in an HR function with expertise in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and compliance
    • Proven ability to manage HR documentation, payroll, and compliance reporting (ACA, 401k) with precision
    • Proficient in HR technology, including ADP, Greenhouse ATS, Wiki Notion, Zoom, and core productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs) with the ability to learn new tools
  • Attention to Detail
    • Results-oriented with strong initiative, high attention to detail, and excellent time management skills, ensuring accuracy in HR documentation and compliance processes.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all data and information
  • Accountability 
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability, team-oriented environment while proactively identifying and driving HR process improvements.
    • Quickly learns and applies new concepts to adapt to evolving HR needs.
  • Communication 
    • Spectacular proactive communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders
    • Strong ability to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and articulate HR policies and initiatives clearly
    • Effectively engages with leadership, employees, and external partners to ensure alignment on HR initiatives

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

  • Job Type: Full time
  • Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000
  • Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO
    • Must be willing and able to work in Denver 2-3x a week.
