Theoria Medical is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to translate healthcare data into actionable insights that drive operational, clinical, and strategic decision-making. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable analytical solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and advanced SQL, while ensuring data governance and healthcare compliance in a fully remote environment.

Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role in transforming healthcare data into actionable insights that drive operational, clinical, and strategic decision-making. This individual will work closely with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to design robust analytical solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and advanced SQL. The role requires experience working with healthcare data, including HIPAA compliance, revenue cycle management, and clinical charting standards. This role also requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate also has experience working with both US-based and offshore teams and can thrive in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced analytical datasets and semantic models within Microsoft Fabric
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and ad hoc analysis across large healthcare datasets
  • Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights
  • Partner with clinical, operational, finance, and executive stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting and analytics assets
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to data governance, metric standardization, and documentation efforts
  • Promote analytics best practices across the organization
  • Support executive-level analytics and presentations, including materials for senior leadership and board audiences

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, pipelines, semantic models)
  • Strong Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated experience working with healthcare data (e.g., EHR/EMR, claims, clinical, revenue cycle, quality, or population health data)
  • Solid understanding of healthcare data concepts, terminology, and workflows
  • Experience translating ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a healthcare provider, payer, or health technology organization
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements
  • Experience with data modeling best practices (star/snowflake schemas)
  • Exposure to statistical analysis or predictive analytics
  • Prior experience supporting executive leadership or enterprise analytics initiatives
