The Grand Gardner Hotel is an Urschel Development property located in Downtown Valparaiso, IN. Urschel Development is a fully owned subsidiary of Urschel Laboratories located in Chesterton, Indiana.

Opening in the second quarter of 2026, this independent boutique hotel is located on a quiet, tree-lined street just steps away from downtown Valparaiso. Designed to feel welcoming to both guests and employees, it features 58 rooms and suites, a speakeasy, banquets space, boutique spa, and inviting shared spaces. This is a place built on teamwork, hands-on training, and growth. The Housekeeping Supervisor manages all daily staff operations for cleaning services, including laundry, in-house linens, and public space maintenance. This role is responsible for assigning daily tasks, inspecting guest rooms to ensure quality standards, and resolving guest complaints promptly. The Supervisor also assists with recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling, while overseeing linen inventory control and the maintenance of industrial laundry equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with an uncompromising eye for detail and a commitment to team development. Proficiency in Property Management Systems and maintenance software is required. Candidates must have the physical ability to stand for up to 10 hours, lift 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks such as bending and kneeling. Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role and familiarity with industrial laundry operations are highly preferred.
