Strategic Sales Executive-CAD/RMS

U.S. (Remote)

The Company

Versaterm is a global public safety solutions company helping agencies transform how they serve their communities. Since 1977, we’ve been building an ecosystem of intuitive tools designed for public safety agencies, forensic labs, court systems, schools and other institutions. Through purposeful integrations and a selective growth strategy, we focus on improving workflows to help our customers achieve more efficient operations, better service and more just outcomes.

Our teams are driven by innovation, expertise and an unwavering commitment to customer success. As we continue to grow and expand our ecosystem, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to solutions that enhance community safety and transform the future of public safety technology. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We’re looking for a high-trust, entrepreneurial Account Executive to help grow our public safety software business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a strategic, full-cycle sales environment; from building pipeline to closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

This is not a commission-based sales job by design. We reward what really matters: integrity, focus, creativity, collaboration, and delivering meaningful outcomes for our agency partners.

You'll be responsible for owning a named territory, deeply understanding your accounts, and driving sustained progress from first conversation to signed contract — and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle across a defined territory of public safety agencies
  • Build and manage a strategic pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and industry networking
  • Organize and drive multi-stakeholder discovery conversations, in-person site visits, and solution presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, product, implementation, marketing, partner success) to move deals forward
  • Support proposal development and influence procurement outcomes
  • Maintain disciplined tracking of activity, insights, and forecasts in Salesforce
  • Contribute to improving sales strategy, onboarding, and cross-functional coordination as we scale

Who We’re Looking For

You might be a strong fit if you:

  • Have a builder’s mindset — proactive, self-managing, and outcome-oriented
  • Are comfortable generating your own pipeline through outbound efforts
  • Have experience selling software or solutions in government, public safety, or enterprise environments
  • Thrive in high-trust, low-ego cultures where mission and collaboration come first
  • Are confident navigating complex, long-cycle deals with multiple decision makers
  • Believe in ethical selling and doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching
  • Feel personal ownership over your accounts and want to be seen as a strategic advisor.

How Success Is Measured

This role includes a base salary + bonus, with no commission structure. Performance is measured by:

  • Quality and consistency of pipeline generation with the ability to meet defined targets around this objective.
  • Strategic progress and movement within named accounts.
  • Contribute to team knowledge, culture, and execution.
  • Accuracy and discipline in Salesforce CRM and sales process management.
  • Customer-first, integrity-driven selling.

Preferred Background

  • 3–5 years in consultative sales, public sector engagement, or related roles.
  • Experience with CAD, RMS, dispatching, or enterprise software (a strong plus).
  • Strong presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to:

  • Own a meaningful territory from day one.
  • Help build a sales culture that values people over quotas.
  • Serve agencies that perform critical public safety work.
  • Join a mission-driven team focused on long-term success.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
