Carrier Relations Manager (LATAM)

Why this role matters:
The Global Carrier Management team, which sits within the Vonage API organization, is responsible for global connectivity for our International Messaging & Voice business. The team supports one of the fastest growing CPAAS companies in the market, directly managing our OTT and wholesale customer base, whilst working closely with our Enterprise sales teams to develop and implement regional connectivity and strategic plans.
As a high-growth team delivering over 100% growth in the last two years, expansion is needed to ensure continued success. We are seeking to recruit an experienced LATAM-oriented Carrier Relations Manager to join the team. This person will help the team secure the best network connectivity and commercial terms to drive our customers’ success. This hands-on role enables Vonage to deliver the high quality and breadth of service our customers expect.
In this role, you’ll:
- Own, and execute the strategy and plan for Latin American countries and ensure Vonage has the best connectivity products and services to meet our customers' needs.
- Responsible for all connectivity suppliers to Vonage network for SMSin the region.
- Collaborate with the local sales, operations, and product teams to fully understand the market requirements
- Build new connectivity with Carriers and Partners across Messaging, and other network services
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure requests from customers and the business are processed and delivered end-to-end
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key Carrier partners
- Position Vonage as the partner to work within the Carrier community through industry engagement, thought leadership, and partnership
- Provide effective communication around team KPIs and performance both upwards to the Senior Leadership Team and the broader organization
- Negotiate effectively with carriers and partners to allow Vonage to offer our customers competitive pricing and an excellent service
- Define customer support standards with carriers and partners, including a robust escalation process
- Be the go-to person for your markets
What you’ll bring:
Required
- Strong technical, commercial, and operational understanding of the Messaging landscape
- Confident to communicate at all levels, including at local conferences on behalf of Vonage
- Knowledge of how the local markets are regulated, operated and managed
- Experience working with Carriers Globally
- Fluent Spanish and English language skills
- Must be willing and able to travel as needed
Desirable
- Strong network of contacts in the industry
- Comfortable working remotely across multiple time zones
- IOS or Windows proficiency
- Tableau experience is a plus
- G-Suite
- Located near in CDMX
