About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will perform high-quality radiologic procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work with advanced imaging technology, assist in patient positioning, and maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Schedule
Day Shift Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm. No nights, holidays, or weekends.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Required: Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT
Credential/Licensure:
- Current certification and registration as R.T.(R) ARRT and R.T.(MR) ARRT
- BLS Certification required for all new hires and current associates
- Substitution Allowed: New graduates from an accredited radiography program must earn ARRT certification as an R.T.(R) within one year of graduating.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and internal teams
- Clinical competency in MRI imaging equipment and procedures
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred)
What You'll Do
- Perform quality MRI procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods
- Guide and educate colleagues, promoting professional development within the radiology team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and institutional policies
- Manage imaging resources efficiently, including supplies and equipment
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service in all interactions
- Observe and instruct student technologists as needed
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and kneeling
- Good balance, coordination, and repetitive motion abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently
- Close visual acuity required, including color and depth perception
- Frequent patient contact, including exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials
- Ability to react quickly in emergency situations
