Position Summary:

Wonderschool is leveraging technology to support childcare providers operating from homes, as well as within government and non-profit sectors. Our goal is to empower providers to create high-quality environments and successfully manage their businesses while making childcare accessible to parents.

We are backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, First Round Capital, Long Journey Ventures, Lerer Ventures, and a number of other notable VC firms and we've raised over $50M in funding today.

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Product Designer who will play a key role in shaping solutions that directly impact provider revenue growth and product usage. You will design and prototype products that not only enhance user adoption and satisfaction but also directly support providers in increasing their earnings. This role requires a blend of creative thinking, technical skills, and a business-oriented mindset to support Wonderschool’s mission of addressing the childcare crisis.

You Will:

  • Design intuitive and impactful product solutions that lead to fast provider revenue growth and high product adoption.

  • Rapidly prototype solutions by deeply understanding customer needs, aiming to increase NPS and usage rates.

  • Create features that help providers increase their income, supported by measurable financial outcomes.

  • Develop marketplace features that assist in the initiation of childcare programs, filling positions, and hiring teachers.

  • Build and improve Government SaaS solutions that address challenges within the childcare sector.

  • Collaborate closely with a product-focused CEO, integrating feedback efficiently.

  • Apply research, design, and prototyping skills to deliver functional and aesthetic design solutions within short project timelines.

  • Engage with product and business stakeholders to align design goals with company objectives.

You Have:

  • Proven experience in product design and user research, with a strong track record of leveraging customer insights to inform design strategy, prioritize features, and influence product direction.

  • Skilled at translating qualitative and quantitative user data into actionable design decisions that drive user adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.

  • Proficiency in creating rapid, high-quality prototypes (bonus points for experience in low/no-code prototyping tools like Replit and V0).

  • Experience working alongside business-oriented leaders and integrating feedback efficiently, especially in a startup environment.

  • A strong eye for design and care deeply about craft, clarity, and usability.

  • A have a strategic, curious mindset, constantly asking smart questions to understand users and uncover opportunities.

  • Strong analytical and business acumen, connecting design decisions to business outcomes.

  • A deep commitment to improving children’s success and a passion for making impactful changes within the childcare sector.

  • An entrepreneurial drive, thriving in goal-oriented, fast-moving environments.

  • A track record of accountability, consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting ambitious goals.
