Investment Management Technology – Risk Analytics and Reporting Developer

We are seeking a software engineer with strong Risk Analytics & Reporting skills to help modernize our risk analytics infrastructure and lead the transition from Tableau to enterprise web based application, Databricks, and Sigma.
This is a hands-on development role, focused on building robust, scalable risk and fund performance analytics and reporting solutions.

Your work will directly influence how risk data is consumed and acted upon across the organization.

You will design and implement reporting components, data pipelines, and custom logic to support advanced analytics that will be used in Investment Committees, Risk Committees and Investor reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop data pipelines in Python to prepare and transform data for reporting.
  • Implement UDF functions using SQL in Databricks for advanced calculations.
  • Build reusable reporting components and templates in Sigma.
  • Collaborate with Web developers and Web Frameworks team to build a reporting component library.
  • Build specifications documents for the Frameworks team and own the results with QA testing.
  • Use basic JavaScript for interactive elements and customizations in web dashboards.
  • Lead migration of reporting workflows from Tableau to enterprise web based application, Databricks/Sigma.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Front Office teams to deliver accurate, timely reports.
  • Define and enforce best practices for report development and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Understanding of risk analytics or financial reporting concepts.
  • Strong SQL skills for complex queries and data transformations.
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL and automation, specifically creating Data Pipelines with the medallion architecture.
  • Comfortable with Tableau for existing reporting workflows.
  • Ability to adopt to new platforms (Databricks, Sigma) and drive innovation.
  • JavaScript experience is a big plus for dashboard interactivity.
  • Detail-oriented, problem solver with strong verbal and written communication skills.

US Base Salary Range

$175,000 - $250,000 USD
