Commercial FP&A Manager
About Lume and Mando Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don’t have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as “life-changing” by our customers. In late 2022, we launched a men’s line called Mando, bringing our expertise to the men’s personal care category. From whole body deodorants to body washes, our product offerings arm men with the confidence to show up as their best selves as they move about their busy day.
Lume and Mando is part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, and Mando. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,” the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date. |
About The Team
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, a core part of Global Finance, drives strategic decision-making by providing timely analysis, accurate forecasts, and clear reporting of our financial and business performance. We empower senior leadership to make fast, data-driven decisions by providing clarity and insight in a dynamic environment.
About The Role
We are seeking a Commercial FP&A Manager to join our Finance team and serve as a strategic partner across Marketing, DTC, Retail, and Brand functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building financial frameworks in fast-changing environments, asking the right questions, and helping creative and commercial teams make smarter, data-driven decisions.
In this position, you’ll help shape how we think about marketing investment, retail and promotional strategy, brand development, and long-term growth. You will partner directly with commercial and retail leadership to provide financial insights, align cross-functional stakeholders, and identify opportunities to drive both near-term performance and long-term value creation. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence key business decisions across multiple channels.
From supporting new product launches to consolidating investments across channels, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial insights are tightly connected to commercial strategies. You’ll balance detail-oriented analysis with high-level strategic thinking, providing clarity in complex and sometimes incomplete situations while enabling the business to move quickly and scale effectively.
What You Will Accomplish
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, DTC, Retail, and Brand teams to guide investment decisions, improve promotional effectiveness, and deliver actionable financial insights.
- Own financial performance management for your business segment by analyzing key drivers across revenue, margin, and operating expenses.
- Track and analyze performance by channel, customer, and P&L line item, presenting insights that inform commercial decision-making.
- Support sales and promotions by assessing performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and ensuring margin targets are met.
- Support New Product Innovation (NPI) from the finance side by building models, pressure-testing assumptions, and conducting pre- and post-launch analysis with cross-functional teams.
- Develop financial models and tools that simplify complexity and enable better decision-making.
- Integrate brand and long-term planning with operating budgets, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Provide forward-looking financial analysis to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and influence commercial strategy and capital allocation.
- Establish reporting, processes, and frameworks that scale with the business and empower creative, fast-moving teams to make confident, informed decisions.
- Take ownership of your workstream, defining your roadmap and adapting quickly as priorities shift in a dynamic environment.
This should describe you
- 4+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in financial management or FP&A.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred.
- Strong understanding of P&L and profitability analysis; working knowledge of CPG financials (sales & marketing finance and key drivers) preferred.
- Experience using ERP and planning systems.
- Ability to bring financial clarity to teams who think in ideas and stories, not just numbers.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills across functions and levels.
- Comfortable working under pressure, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
- High level of motivation and energy with a “roll up your sleeves” mindset — able to move seamlessly between big-picture strategy and detailed analysis.
- Strong business acumen, analytical rigor, and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
- A collaborative team player who manages effectively across stakeholders.
- A sense of humor — we take our work seriously, but not ourselves.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SAC Analytics Cloud and SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries.
- Advanced Excel and dashboarding or data visualization skills.
- Prior experience supporting marketing, DTC, or retail finance functions.
Here’s Who You’ll Work With
- Report into a Commercial FP&A Lead, with significant exposure to senior leadership across Marketing, Brand, and Commercial teams.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Brand, and DTC teams to guide spend decisions, support new initiatives, and bring financial insights to creative strategies.
- Collaborate across the broader Finance team to stay aligned on company-wide planning cycles, share best practices, and build new capabilities.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations and other business partners to ensure financial insights are integrated into both strategy and execution.
