1047 Games began with the simple principle that people should have fun while making great games. Bucking convention and driven by a passion to create the ultimate gaming experience, Ian Proulx and Nicholas Bagamian founded 1047 Games in 2017 in their Stanford dorm room. Their love for arena shooters of the past drove them to create Splitgate, a unique sci-fi first-person shooter that adds portal guns to upend the genre.
What started as two computer science majors putting portals into a first-person shooter for a project demo has evolved into a VC-backed company which has raised more than $120MM in funding.
At 1047 Games, you’ll find a permanently remote, dedicated team of top-tier talent from some of the world’s biggest gaming and tech companies who share our founders’ vision. Grit, ingenuity, a desire to have fun, and a start up mentality define our crew. We are currently working on a brand new shooter in the Splitgate universe.
What We're Looking For:
- We're seeking an experienced marketing/brand manager to help plan, strategize, and execute our go-to-market beta, launch, and seasonal marketing campaigns for the upcoming free-to-play first person shooter Splitgate 2.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Serve as key team member in planning the development and execution of our global marketing plans to support growth in awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention for our upcoming release of Splitgate 2.
- Assisting in the management of our CRM and customer segmentation tools to retain and retarget our player base through fan communications and audience segmentation strategies.
- Analyze and monitor our key performance metrics and data for our campaigns and activations to optimize our media and ensure the efficacy of our spends.
- Kick off and manage the development of high quality brand marketing assets for storefronts, game events, social assets, and gameplay trailers.
- Post-launch, direct the execution of our always-on marketing and seasonal content releases across multiple customer segments and profiles, targeting lapsed gamers and identifying audience growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across graphic design, video editing, social, community, and analytics, as well as with partner agencies.
- Work closely with first parties (Sony, Microsoft, Steam, Epic) on their partner marketing toolsets and co-marketing opportunities.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Minimum of 6+ years of product marketing experience at a video game publisher or developer in console, PC, and/or mobile.
- Experience in gaming live-operations and games as a service (GaaS), including player segmentation, marketing analytics, lifecycle management, and CRM.
- A passion for gaming, both as a marketer and a player.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization with distributed teams across time zones.
- Strong skillsets in data analysis and real-time optimization.
- A clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Pluses:
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Braze as well as customer data platforms such as Treasure Data.
- Familiarity with Splitgate or other PC/console shooters (Halo, Fortnite, Apex, etc.).
