Senior Product Manager, Growth - Web & E-commerce

Pleasanton, California, USA HQ

About the role

10x Genomics makes products that enable researchers to answer biology's hardest and most elusive questions. Our web experience is how the global research community discovers our products, evaluates them, and ultimately buys, and we are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the continuous evolution of that experience end-to-end.

This role is built for a product leader who blends strong web product craft and UX judgment with the technical fluency to shape how our site captures, structures, and hands off customer data to the systems behind it. You will partner closely with engineering and commercial leaders to launch intuitive, self-service web solutions that delight users and drive pipeline. You will also shape how the web platform connects into marketing automation platforms, CRM, CDPs, and the broader stack so that web behavior translates cleanly into qualified demand.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the product strategy for our customer-facing web platform, transforming complex scientific purchasing journeys into intuitive, self-service experiences across discovery, lead capture, quoting, and re-ordering.
  • Define how the web experience captures customer intent and identity, including forms, profiling, event instrumentation, consent and privacy controls, and lead scoring signals, so that high-fidelity lead and behavioral data flows cleanly into marketing automation, CRM, and the broader marketing and sales stack.
  • Lead the design and delivery of new web experiences alongside maturing existing ones, making sharp UX calls, partnering closely with design and engineering, and shipping a steady cadence of releases that move both new acquisition and existing customer expansion.
  • Build the connective tissue between web and the downstream stack, shaping lead routing, attribution, and data flow into the demand funnel.
  • Turn data into product judgment. Use qualitative research, web analytics, and quantitative metrics to validate ideas, shape roadmap priorities, and continuously improve conversion across the journey.
  • Act as the central alignment force between engineering and commercial leadership, translating complex business objectives into clear requirements, building consensus, and managing change across stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
  • 5 years of product management experience
  • 3 years of experience shipping customer-facing web products, including lead capture and integration with marketing automation systems

Preferred skills and experience

This role requires breadth across web product craft, customer journey design, and the systems that sit behind the site. Here are the skills and experiences we are looking for, roughly in priority order:

  • Web Product Craft: Proven experience building and shipping customer-facing web experiences end-to-end. Strong UX instincts and a track record of making sharp product calls with design and engineering partners, grounded in customer research and a clear point of view on what good looks like.
  • Breadth of Web Product Experience: Track record across a range of customer-facing surfaces, including marketing sites, self-service flows, configurators, lead capture, and transactional experiences, with the judgment to know which patterns fit which problem.
  • Lead & Data Capture Fluency: Deep familiarity with how web experiences capture customer data and how that data is structured for downstream marketing and sales use. Comfortable designing capture experiences that meet global privacy and consent requirements without compromising data fidelity.
  • MarTech Fluency: Opinionated about the marketing stack (marketing automation platforms, CRM, CDPs, web analytics) and how web platforms integrate with it. You can hold your own with the engineers and shape the integration points that matter most to the web experience.
  • Iterative Delivery: Strong at scoping high-value MVPs and shipping incremental releases. You balance near-term experience improvements with the longer-term integrity of the platform.
  • Technical Acumen: Technical confidence to engage in robust discussions with engineers on web architecture, frontend trade-offs, instrumentation, and the data contracts between the site and downstream systems.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: History of acting as the central alignment force between engineering and commercial organizations. You translate product and technical realities into compelling narratives, build trust, and manage change with marketing and sales stakeholders.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
