Sr. Strategist - Job Description
The Role
North Star: As a Senior Strategist, you will be responsible for distilling clarity from chaos to achieve your clients’ business goals. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding your client’s business and brand problems and developing the best possible approach from research, to brief, to comms plan, and report to solve them.
The Senior Strategist will be responsible for the following:

Lead assigned strategic planning projects from start to finish with the support of the Group Strategy Director

Collaborate with Creative, Client Service, Production, and PR to deliver best-in-class, subversive work for your clients

Dive deep into the culture, category, and consumer trends surrounding your clients’ businesses to mine actionable, compelling insights that inspire brand platforms, creative briefs, and go-to-market plans

Produce inspired creative briefs that drive strong creative work

Develop communications and connections plans that showcase how the creative idea is communicated across platforms along with key success metrics; and shepherd through the creative process

Create strategic planning documents and POVs to support and achieve client and agency goals

Outline problems and set desired outcomes by conducting research, digging into data and trends

Facilitate brainstorming sessions, collaborative sessions, extensive strategy and tactical planning exercises where needed

Ability to collaborate with individuals and clients at every level

Support the Group Strategy Director with mentoring junior team members to help grow their skill set and passion for the discipline

Multi-task across simultaneous projects and deadlines, collaborating with appropriate team members
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
-
A master in culture trends with 5+ years prior experience in Brand Strategy in a creative agency environment creating impactful work; specifically a background in integrated planning (digital, social, tv, audio, experiential, pr)

Demonstrable track record in distilling insights from cultural, category, and consumer trends into effective strategies and creative work for clients. Equally comfortable above and below the line tactics

Collaborator in mind and heart working well to inspire creative excellence

Strong research skills

Strong written and oral communications skills to help develop presentations as well as present strategic and tactical plans to clients and internal teams

Proven application of integrated content strategies to meet and exceed business targets

Exceptional analytical ability to develop insight from data and plan next steps across channels

Instinctually insightful with a critical lens and innovative mind

Strong storyteller with refined presentation skills

Creative thinker, understanding best practices in multiple channels
