We are seeking a talented Producer to join our dynamic team at The Mel Robbins Podcast. This person will play a meaningful role in the creation of captivating sponsored content that inspires and motivates millions of people around the world. 

The Mel Robbins Podcast is the #1 ranked podcast in the world on Spotify and Apple. Millions of people tune into the podcast for science-backed tools, expert resources, and the inspiration to create a better life. 

You will own the end-to-end production process of revenue-generating advertising and sponsorship partnerships from conceptualization to production, and post-production, ensuring that every deliverable meets our standards of excellence. The ideal candidate has experience producing a variety of compelling and high-quality content, with a passion for storytelling, and is a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Your primary focus will be owning the end-to-end process of revenue generation productions for The Mel Robbins Podcast, including but not limited to, audio and video ads, sponsored custom content, and co-branded partnerships.  

  • Evaluate inbound advertiser requests for fit and alignment with our brand.
  • Concept, write, produce, and edit all podcast ad reads, ensuring reads align with the show’s tone and voice.
  • Concept, write, produce and edit all custom branded integrations and activations. 
  • Direct internal resources (audio and video editors) to ensure delivery of ad reads, custom spots, or branded integrations.
  • Manage the full advertising and sponsorship cycle, from kickoff through delivery. 
  • Communicate daily with our ad and sponsorship sales partners on deliverable deadlines, statuses, and campaign needs. 
  • Oversee timelines and deliverables across audio and video.
  • Partner with production and marketing teams to ensure cross-channel sponsorship content is executed (e.g. podcast, social, email, etc.) 
  • Lead special advertising initiatives for the show, such as sponsorship packages, seasonal campaigns, or integrated brand content opportunities.  
  • Ensure brand safety, creative quality, and performance alignment for every campaign.
  • Analyze listener feedback and audience data to inform content and production improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with podcasting, audio and video trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance the podcast’s production quality and engagement with our audience.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6+ years of experience as a multi-faceted producer with experience in media production, podcasting or related field (advertising, content marketing, audio/video production). 
  • Proven ability to produce and manage a host or talent in a dynamic production environment.
  • Proven experience in project management with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Excellent storytelling, scriptwriting, editing and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead the end-to-end production process - to conceptualize and execute from concept to pre and post-production.
  • Forward-thinking, adept at problem-solving, and a self-motivated team player.
  • Excellent communication and client-relations skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal and external partners. 
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, technology driven production environment.
