Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy & Operations

Hybrid in Boston, MA

Who are we?

143 Studios is the award-winning media production company behind The Mel Robbins Podcast -- one of the top ranking podcasts in the world. We’re also the same team behind The Let Them Theory, a cultural phenomenon with over 5 million copies sold in 5 months, and six #1 Audible Originals. Every day, our work inspires more than 30 million online followers around the world and reaches hundreds of millions of people monthly.

143 Studios is hiring a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy & Operations to build, optimize, and manage the systems and processes that power our digital marketing performance across all channels.

This role sits at the intersection of operations, analytics, systems, and execution. We are looking for a hands-on operations-oriented marketer to own and maintain our digital marketing channels (website, email & CRM, SEO, paid media, and emerging) across product launches, growth and content distribution campaigns, content distribution, and other brand initiatives. This role requires someone who can translate strategic direction into reliable systems, coordinate with partners and manage channel budgets efficiently, and still roll up their sleeves to execute campaigns, analyze results, and optimize impact - ensuring our marketing engine is both scalable and high-performing. This role focuses on building and managing the systems, channels and analytics that drive marketing performance.

The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy & Operations will:

  • Build and maintain scalable marketing systems for testing, reporting, and optimizing marketing performance.
  • Oversee a team of internal and external resources to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Partner cross-functionally to launch campaigns that fuel podcast growth, product sales, live events, and brand initiatives.

This role reports directly to the COO.

Why the Role Matters
143 Studios has a massive organic audience and a proven content engine. The next phase of growth depends on turning reach into results — consistent acquisition, retention, reliable data, efficient execution, and monetization across channels.

This role ensures we have the execution, structure, data, and strategy to make that happen. You’ll be responsible for aligning all digital touchpoints (web, email, paid, CRM, and analytics) under a single growth framework — giving our team the clarity and speed to grow intelligently.

Your Mission
Build and maintain the systems, data flows, and processes that make our marketing machine run efficiently and accurately.

You’ll ensure our tools, tracking, and reporting enable the team to move faster, test smarter, and measure what matters.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management, Systems and Planning

  • Collaborate with leadership to translate marketing goals into operational processes and measurement frameworks.
  • Build and maintain scalable marketing systems for campaign execution, testing, reporting and optimization.
  • Own and maintain website, email marketing, CRM, SEO, paid media, and emerging channels to maximize customer acquisition and value.
  • Establish and track KPIs for performance, growth, and ROI, create performance dashboards and synthesize insights for leadership to drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with high performing team including external partners, agencies and freelancers while providing clear direction and accountability.

Website & Digital Experience

  • Oversee website performance, content publishing, and UX optimization to support conversions and customer engagement.
  • Partner with designers and developers on A/B testing, landing page optimization and customer journey improvements.

Email Marketing & Customer Relationship Management

  • Lead email/CRM strategy and maintenance: lifecycle strategy, list growth, segmentation, automation, retention, reporting, and engagement funnels.
  • Implement lifecycle marketing workflows to improve retention and conversion through personalized, data-driven lifecycle campaigns.
  • Ensure campaigns are fully compliant with privacy regulations, consent management and unsubscribe handling.

Paid Media & Campaigns

  • Partner with internal stakeholders or external agencies to manage multi-channel paid media campaigns (Meta, Google/YouTube, TikTok, CTV, podcast ads).
  • Continuously test and optimize creative, messaging, targeting, and funnels to maximize ROI.
  • Own campaign setup, tracking, and reporting – ensuring full-funnel attributions and data integrity.
  • Manage budgets and media buying to maximize return on ad spend and audience acquisition.

Data Analysis & Optimization

  • Build and maintain a structured testing roadmap across creative, offers, landing pages, and funnels.
  • Translate performance data into actionable insights and share with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage dashboards, tagging plans, and analytics integrations.
  • Stay on top of platform updates, industry shifts, and new growth opportunities in digital media and podcasting.

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years in digital marketing, growth, or marketing operations, ideally with experience in media production and content creation.
  • Solid understanding in website management and optimization, email marketing, CRM, paid acquisition, and campaign management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CMS (WordPress), HubSpot (or similar), attribution models, Google Analytics, and paid media platforms.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on execution with data-driven decision-making in a high-growth, fast-changing environment.
  • Highly analytical, data-literate and detail-oriented, able to turn metrics into actionable improvements.
  • Adept at communication, cross-functional leadership, and vendor management.
  • Experience in personal brands, thought leadership, or content-driven businesses is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

Who You Are

  • You think like a problem-solver but act like an operator - equally at home in campaign dashboards and cross-functional discussions.
  • You see the entire funnel and understand how each channel feeds the next.
  • You’re obsessed with efficiency, automation, and performance clarity.
  • You make decisions based on data, not opinion.
  • You thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where systems don’t yet exist — and you enjoy building them.
  • You care deeply about impact, not noise.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
