About the Role

We are hiring a Manager, Audience Engagement to lead day-to-day execution of engagement across Mel Robbins’ highest-volume platforms. This is a senior, high-judgement, high-stakes community role — one of the few individuals trusted to respond publicly on Mel’s behalf.

This role is both people leadership and hands-on execution. You will directly manage a team of Engagement Specialists while remaining actively involved in frontline engagement, decision-making and risk management. You will work closely with the Director of Community, social creators, podcast team, PR, customer experience, and our social agency, and play a key role in scaling our social CRM operations through Sprinklr.

Key Responsibilities

High Priority Engagement Leadership (Core Function)
You own engagement on Mel’s biggest channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) -- the platforms with the highest visibility, volume and brand risk. You will:

  • Make real-time decisions maker for what we engage with, ignore, escalate, or amplify
  • Own responses for high-profile creators, brand, authors, press or verified accounts
  • Ensure the voice, tone, empathy and nuance remain consistent and on-brand
  • Set daily engagement priorities and adapt quickly during volume spikes
  • Coordinate with social leads before posts go live to anticipate risks and FAQs
  • Execute rapid engagement plans during launches, PR moments, breaking news, and viral surges

Team Leadership & Hands-on Execution
You are accountable for both performance and quality.

  • Directly manage, coach and develop a team of Engagement Specialists
  • Set clear standards for judgement, tone, escalation and response quality
  • Deliver real-time feedback, coaching and post-mortems for constant improvement
  • Identify capability gaps and partner on hiring, onboarding and training as the team scales

Social CRM (Sprinklr) Leadership
You will be a key builder of our social intelligence engine:

  • Build and maintain dashboards that track sentiment, volume, emerging themes, and risk
  • Evolve tagging and prioritization systems as volume increases
  • Interpret audience behavior and deliver actionable insights to content, podcast, social and leadership
  • Use audience behavior patterns to inform content, product, and messaging decisions

UGC Permissions & Audience Relationship Management

  • Manage the UGC release process for testimonials, comments or content we want to repurpose
  • Surface audience stories, trends, and insights to the podcast and marketing teams
  • Identify opportunities for deeper connection -- turning passive viewers into engaged fans

Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years in social media, community management, or digital audience operations
  • Experience representing a human brand / public figure online, where judgement, tone, and nuance carry personal and reputational risk
  • Hands-on experience moderating or engaging on accounts with 1M+ followers
  • Experience managing a team of specialists while maintaining hands-on executor
  • Fast, sharp writing skills with exceptional judgment
  • Strong operational instincts: you think in workflows, not one-off tasks
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, human behavior, and social dynamics
  • Experience with social listening, CRM tagging systems or high-volume moderation (Sprinklr preferred)
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged topics with grace and boundaries
  • Experience with social listening or CRM tools (Sprinklr strongly preferred)
  • High discretion and maturity — you understand the stakes of speaking for a public figure
  • Experience collaborating with PR, customer support, or brand marketing partners
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot when priorities shift
  • Calm, confident and clear-headed under pressure

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
