We're looking for an ambitious and dynamic Senior Account Manager to join our global team in the New York office. Hopefully you're as excited as we are about innovative companies and top-tier investors working across fintech, sustainability, deeptech, web3, VC, and B2B enterprise. Ideally, you will have established relationships in media and be focused on driving meaningful communications strategies for great clients.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day on an account, driving creative strategies for clients as well as effectively managing tasks + delegating to team members. This is a hands-on role and requires excellent communication and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- A team player with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record managing high-profile corporate clients
- Experience in securing top-tier media coverage and events across broadcast, print, and online media including -- but not limited to -- Bloomberg, Fortune, Wall Street Journal, NYT, CNN, CNBC, TechCrunch as well as industry trade publications.
- Leverage established relationships with journalists to drive coverage and opportunities for clients
- A creative and ideas-focused approach with a strategic mindset to consistently over-deliver for clients
- Lead teams in a busy environment, mentoring junior staff and line-managing teams
- An ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment including, but not limited to, client relationship management, driving client calls, planning news announcements, end-of-month reporting, and strategy execution, and managing multiple stakeholders, e.g. IR, investors, etc
- Strong organization, time management, attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills
- A deep understanding of the tech media landscape, an ability to identify relevant trends for clients, and having an editorial eye
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in the PR industry
- Project manager and agency experience a plus
- Broad enterprise client experience across technology and business
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- A team player with strong leadership qualities, and a proven ability to delegate and manage a team
- Strong written and communication skills
- Have an interest in and solid understanding of the tech topics of today from AI to sustainability to blockchain
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn
