POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Strategic Finance is a pivotal role within the CFO organization, serving as the primary architect for financial strategy and enterprise-wide planning & analysis. This position acts as a strategic partner to the executive team, driving high-impact initiatives, validating complex financial models, and providing data-driven insights to steer the company’s expanding business portfolio. By bridging the gap between operational performance and corporate finance, the Director ensures the financial integrity of new investments and optimizes long-term value creation across all business segments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Corporate Planning & Strategic Initiative Management
- Serve as the control tower for company‑wide strategic initiatives, including legacy asset divestitures and other enterprise‑level projects.
- Coordinate cross‑functional planning activities across Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Project Finance, and business organizations.
- Provide financial viewpoints, scenario analyses, and recommendations to support executive decisions.
- Develop, refine, and monitor KPIs, project milestones, and financial/operational metrics for major initiatives.
- Financial Modeling & Long‑Term Planning
- Review and validate the accuracy and consistency of long‑term financial models, ensuring compliance with accounting and financial standards.
- Assess impacts to cash flow, P&L, leverage, equity structure, and other financial indicators.
- Enhance modeling frameworks to support decision‑making for diversified businesses and future investments.
- Business Opportunity Review & Investment Analysis
- Conduct in‑depth financial due diligence for new businesses and M&A opportunities.
- Collaborate with CFO and CIO teams on project finance structuring, capital stack optimization, and financing strategy.
- Prepare internal investment memos and executive‑level reports summarizing financial implications and risks.
- Reporting & Executive Communications
- Prepare high‑quality analysis and presentations for the CFO, CEO, and HQ‑level stakeholders, often under tight timelines.
- Improve the overall planning‑oriented reporting quality within the CFO division.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate planning, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, long‑term planning, and investment analysis.
- Experience supporting executive‑level reporting and complex decision processes.
- Ability to manage multiple high‑velocity initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and cash‑flow‑based evaluations.
- Full professional fluency in both Korean and English
Preferred
- Experience in energy, or project‑finance‑driven industries.
- Prior involvement in M&A, due diligence, or corporate strategy.
- MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus.
COMPENSATION: $165,000 - $190,000 salary
