Why you want this job
As a Senior Software Engineer (Level 3 or 4) at SeekWell, you will work with a team of 6 developers to manage 40 internal applications. These include mostly backend services (Rest and SOAP), as well as some internal websites built with asp.net and VUE. Roughly 1/2 of these applications use AWS Lambda. Your team will craft solutions, write tests, and collaborate with QA to release to production. The team strives to complete stories within 1-2 days and will use Kanban flow in Jira to coordinate work with the Product Manager.
Work Environment
- Hybrid: Work from home with 1 day per week onsite in Draper, UT.
- Occasional on-call rotation to support our 24/7 production systems.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain platform services and internal websites written in C#, AWS Lambda, Vue and ASP.Net
- Handle code that integrates with 3rd party vendors we use for various tasks
- Write tests to maintain and improve quality
- Be a mentor to more junior members of the team
- CI/CD pipeline flow management/maintenance
- Build and review pull requests
What You'll Need:
- We welcome applicants with a B.S. degree or at least 5 years of equivalent experience in a specified area of computer science.
- 5+ years of professional experience in C# and T-SQL
- 2+ years of experience in AWS
- Strong understanding of the AWS ecosystem
- Ability to efficiently tackle problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Splunk experience a plus
- Growth mindset by looking to improve through effort, accepting challenges, and staying positive, with a focus on learning new skills and systems
- Able to complete projects with minimal direction and guidance
- Ability to work and communicate well in a collaborative technology team environment
- Must have a proactive outlook to anticipate and plan future needs and solutions
- Able to troubleshoot production systems
- Leading out technically within the team
