As a Data Engineer / Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing the data infrastructure necessary to support organizational analytics, governance, and decision-making. This role combines hands-on data engineering and database administration with the opportunity to influence long-term data strategy. You’ll work across business lines, solving critical data architecture challenges and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Leveraging your expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks, you’ll develop scalable systems to enhance data maturity and governance, organize fragmented data processes, and build tools to monitor and manage data quality. This role is ideal for someone passionate about transforming complex data environments into secure, reliable systems that drive business insights.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement scalable data architecture to improve data quality, discoverability, and governance.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Write and manage advanced SQL queries, Python scripts, and other tools to monitor and track data/schema across systems.
  • Act as the go-to resource for data-related issues across the organization, helping various business units solve data challenges.
  • Collaborate with data managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to align data strategies with business needs.
  • Develop robust systems to track and monitor the flow, security, and integrity of data throughout the organization.
  • Work on strategic projects to establish a company-wide framework for data governance and compliance.

What you'll need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, SQL, and data engineering roles.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and modern data warehouse platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server and other relational databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build ETL pipelines and data warehouses.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL and Python skills for scripting and analytics.
  • Experience building scalable data models and monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level data governance and compliance strategies.
  • Proven success delivering databases, reports, and analytics tools that drive organizational value.
