Backend Software Engineer

Things you will do:

As a  Backend Software Engineer at SeekWell, you will collaborate with a team of developers to manage internal applications. These include back-end GraphQL and RESTful services. You will partner with a team of 4 to investigate issues, craft solutions, write tests, and release applications to production. You'll participate in the team's Kanban flow to coordinate work with the Product Manager.

The experience we're looking for:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in C#
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Experience in Hot Chocolate GraphQL preferred
  • Azure DevOps, T-SQL, AWS, containerization, and experience with Application Insights is valuable, but not required

On a regular basis you will:

  • Develop and maintain platform services and internal applications using C#, ASP.NET Core and GraphQL
  • Create and maintain code that integrates with 3rd party services
  • Implement comprehensive automated tests to ensure quality
  • Participate actively in code reviews and pull requests
  • Support and contribute to CI/CD pipeline processes
  • Complete projects independently or in a pair while collaborating effectively with the team

Beginner:
You have a foundational understanding of SQL. You can write simple queries and perform basic operations like SELECT, JOIN, and GROUP BY but lack exposure to more complex tasks or large datasets.

You have strong experience working with AWS services, deploying applications, and managing cloud infrastructure. You are proficient in networking, security, automation, and optimizing AWS resources for performance and cost efficiency.

Intermediate:
You have practical experience using AWS for basic cloud operations. You can deploy applications, manage resources, and configure security settings. However, you may need guidance on advanced networking, automation, or cost optimization.

Beginner:
You have basic knowledge of AWS and can navigate the console, launch simple resources, and configure basic settings. However, you are still learning to manage cloud infrastructure effectively.
