As our Merchandise Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring The Framery offers the right products, at the right time, in the right quantities to delight our customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams including buyers, planners, and visual merchandisers, you'll use data-driven insights to optimize our product assortment and inventory performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our customers' eyewear shopping experience while developing expertise in retail merchandising.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with the merchandise planning team to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed decisions about product assortment, quantities, and pricing
- Monitor stock levels, sales performance, and inventory turnover to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained. Coordinate with vendors and distribution centers to manage product deliveries and replenishments
- Collaborate with buyers and planners to develop and maintain the product assortment plan. Assist in identifying new trends and opportunities, as well as analyzing competitors' assortments to ensure competitiveness
- Coordinate with visual merchandisers to ensure that products are displayed and presented in an appealing and strategic manner to optimize sales and customer experience
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to optimize sales and profitability.
- Provide regular reports to management regarding sales trends, inventory performance, and product performance
- Work closely with various internal teams such as buying, planning, marketing, and store operations to ensure effective communication and collaboration to meet business objectives
What you'll need
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchandise coordination, retail buying, or a similar role
- Solid understanding of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to make data-driven decisions
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management, product assortment, and other merchandising-related tasks
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software and other relevant software for data analysis and reporting
- Understanding of retail operations, inventory management, product assortment planning, and visual merchandising best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
