The Opportunity

You’ll be developing and testing early-stage prototypes that address immediate customer pain points by harnessing the power of AI. With the broad landscape of AI systems, ranging from traditional models to Generative AI, your goal will be to build and test solutions that solve customer problems, regardless of the specific AI approach used. Success in this role requires comfort in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment with the ultimate goal of achieving problem-solution fit. What You’ll Do

  • Engage with customers, understanding their challenges to tailor the AI-powered B2B SaaS
  • Leverage your Data Science and Engineering expertise to drive innovative experiments, setting the benchmark for cutting-edge work.
  • Collaborate closely with product-focused co-lead, grounding work in our unique Studio Model.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, and continuously iterate to deliver innovative solutions that address them.
  • Explore and test various value props, conducting early-stage prototype experiments to identify the most viable paths.
  • Play a pivotal role in transforming innovative ideas into minimum viable products (MVPs), proving concepts and setting the stage for scalable growth.
  • Demonstrate expertise in building early-stage prototypes and testing them directly with customers and early design partners.
  • Lead AI experimentation efforts, validating the feasibility of solutions and rapidly developing early-stage prototypes.
  • Bridge AI and product development to create and execute a cohesive strategy that drives innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product designers and marketing experts, to accelerate innovation in AI-powered product development.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and creative thinking.

Who You Are

  • Strong technical foundation in software engineering and data science, with a focus on developing and validating AI-powered SaaS products.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to overcoming technical challenges.
  • Strong experience in validating ML/AI models and applying rapid experimentation techniques to drive results.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge advancements in the AI landscape, including foundational LLM models, LangChain, Hugging Face, and other leading frameworks.
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React, or Python-based prototyping tools like Streamlit or Gradio, to build user-friendly interfaces.
  • Expertise in backend engineering, data pipeline development, and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in backend programming languages (Python, Java, Node.js) and database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Bonus points if you have worked for an early-stage startup, extra bonus points if you have founded one!

Travel

  • This role is remote or hybrid, based on your location. While flexibility is key, we also value in-person connections. Whether you're remote or hybrid, travel may be needed for customer discovery, team building, and/or networking.
