The Opportunity

1848 Ventures is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as a GTM (Go-To-Market) Intern. This 10-week internship offers a unique opportunity to assist in the process of bringing AI-powered solutions to market for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Dive into the dynamic world of early-stage venture building and learn how to translate innovative products into successful market entries. You'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to real projects and learning from experienced professionals.


What You’ll Do

During your internship, you'll gain valuable experience in the following areas:

  • Market Research and Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing market data, industry trends, and competitor information to inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Support the team in identifying and defining target customer segments for new AI-powered ventures.
  • Content Creation and Marketing Support: Assist in creating marketing materials, presentations, and content to support product development and launches.
  • Growth Marketing Support and Enablement: Support the Growth Marketing efforts by providing research, creating sales tools, and assisting with customer research.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of go-to-market plans, including pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies.
  • Performance Tracking and Analysis: Assist in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members, including venture builders, product designers, growth marketers, and engineers, and assist in preparing presentations and reports.
  • Shadowing and Learning: Observe and learn from experienced professionals in the go-to-market process.


Who You Are

We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated students who:

  • Are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, preferably with a concentration in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • Possess a strong interest in go-to-market strategy, marketing, sales, AI, machine learning, and supporting SMBs.
  • Desire to contribute at the earliest development stage to Seed Round and product launch.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Are eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Are comfortable with researching and analyzing market information.
  • Possess a willingness to learn new marketing and sales tools and techniques.


Bonus Points If

  • You have a genuine interest in early-stage startups and innovation.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy tackling new challenges.
  • You have experience with market research, sales, or marketing.
  • You are excited about learning and working with new lead-enrichment tools.


Internship Details

  • Duration: 10 weeks
  • Start/End Dates: June 2 – August 8
  • Location: Remote
  • Compensation: Paid Internship
  • Learning Outcomes: Gain practical experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new ventures. Develop skills in market research, sales support, marketing content creation, and performance analysis. Learn to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
