Adult IOP Counselor
Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA

High Focus Centers has a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality outpatient treatment throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania through its specialized programs, including Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope. We offer comprehensive, individualized care to adolescents and adults seeking treatment for substance use, mental health, and eating disorders.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Adult Intensive Outpatient Counselor to join our team in Northeast Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive, mission-driven organization.

Schedule
Monday-Thursday: 1:30 PM-9:30 PM or 1:00 PM-10:00 PM
Friday: Flexible

Compensation
$53,000-$57,000 annually, based on experience, education, and licensure

Position Summary

The Adult IOP Counselor is responsible for facilitating co-occurring Intensive Outpatient Programming (mental health and substance use disorders) for adult clients. This role includes conducting assessments, leading therapeutic groups, developing treatment plans, coordinating care, and maintaining clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate co-occurring disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups and services
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments in accordance with program standards
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and treatment team members
  • Prepare materials and curriculum for group sessions
  • Communicate regularly with referral sources and internal stakeholders
  • Complete insurance authorization and utilization review documentation
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
  • Meet productivity expectations, including an average of 25 billable sessions per week
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Chemical Dependency, Nursing (with a clinical specialty), or a related human services field
  • Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Licensure or licensure eligibility preferred
