Position Summary

The Medical Provider delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role collaborates closely with clinical leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care across all levels of treatment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct medical care, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
  • Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations for clients in detox and residential settings
  • Collaborate with Program Director, Clinical Director, and clinical team to support client outcomes
  • Coordinate care with external providers, including primary care, hospitals, and community partners
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards
  • Respond effectively to crisis situations and support stabilization efforts

Qualifications

Licensure & Experience:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in substance use disorder and/or behavioral health treatment
  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Sound judgment and crisis intervention skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
