Lead Driver / Patient Transportation

Summary:

The Lead Driver plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of transportation services by guiding and mentoring drivers, managing transportation inquiries, and maintaining essential records.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00/hour 

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm - shifts may vary towards the beginning or ending of shift - starting earlier or staying later 10:00am - 6:00pm - shifts may vary towards the beginning or ending of shift - starting earlier or staying later

Note: You will have a company vehicle to use during your shift and there is a company gas card to pay for the gas in the vehicle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Orientation, training and of drivers. Receive transportation calls/inquiries.
• Complete all required reports associated with the Transportation Department.
• Model appropriate driver skills to other drivers.
• Ability to work autonomously while transporting clients and in other tasks as applicable.
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Education/Background:

• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
• At least 1 year of driving for a company (any type of company)
• Team player; confidentiality; safety; excellent communication skills; effective interpersonal relationships
• Maintain a safe driving record Participates in company offered training and development activities to enhance job knowledge and skills
