Program Director – Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Use Treatment
Location: Center City, Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person (Traditional Business Hours)
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience

Position Overview

High Focus Centers is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Director to oversee our behavioral health and substance use treatment services at our Center City location. This individual will provide leadership and oversight of program operations, clinical services, staff development, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with a strong background in behavioral healthcare leadership who is passionate about program development, team collaboration, and delivering high-quality, client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership for outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment programs.
  • Support program development and growth in response to community needs and organizational goals.
  • Monitor program performance metrics related to access, engagement, clinical outcomes, and staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF) and organizational policies.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Promote a welcoming, recovery-oriented, and client-centered treatment environment.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and maintain clear communication across program staff.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support program success.
  • Assist with oversight of program budgets, staffing needs, and operational planning.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to program staff.
  • Support staff development, clinical excellence, and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a recognized clinical discipline from an accredited college (must include a clinical practicum).
  • Active clinical licensure in Pennsylvania (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
  • 2–5 years of supervisory or program leadership experience, preferably in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program operations and clinical priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to evidence-based treatment and continuous quality improvement.
