Adult IOP Therapist – DBT Skills Program

Location: High Focus Centers – Pottstown, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (In-Person)
Salary: $53,000 – $55,000 per year (based on experience and credentials)

About the Role

High Focus Centers in Pottstown, PA is a leading provider of outpatient treatment services for adults experiencing mental health challenges and co-occurring disorders. Our programs utilize evidence-based approaches to help individuals build the skills needed to manage emotions, improve relationships, and create meaningful change.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our Adult Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) team. This role focuses on helping clients learn and apply core DBT skills—including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—within a structured outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate DBT skills groups for adults enrolled in the DBT Skills IOP program
• Support clients in learning and practicing DBT concepts, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness
• Conduct intake assessments and Level of Care Assessments as needed
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team
• Provide guidance on applying DBT skills in daily life and during times of emotional distress
• Support transition planning and coordination of outpatient aftercare services
• Maintain communication with families and outside providers when clinically appropriate
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to coordinate care
• Complete timely clinical documentation and insurance reviews
• Assist with collection of client co-pays when needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related human services field (with clinical internship completed)
• Prior experience working in mental health treatment settings preferred
• Experience working with adult populations preferred
• Training or experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strongly preferred
• Strong group facilitation and therapeutic skills
