Join Freedom Detox and Make a Difference in Recovery Care

Freedom Detox is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Nurse Practitioner to provide weekend daytime coverage at our Gastonia, NC facility. This role is ideal for a provider who is passionate about helping individuals begin their recovery journey by delivering high-quality medical care in a detoxification setting.

As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide patient-centered care, conduct assessments, manage medications, and collaborate with staff to support safe and effective detox treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and medical assessments upon admission and throughout treatment
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
• Prescribe, administer, and monitor medications as appropriate
• Manage withdrawal symptoms and provide ongoing medical oversight during detoxification
• Collaborate with nursing, counseling, and clinical staff to coordinate holistic patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and next steps
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case reviews
• Respond to urgent medical concerns and provide clinical guidance as needed

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in detox, addiction medicine, behavioral health, emergency medicine, or urgent care
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• CPR certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
