Do you want to be in the business of quantitative trading?  We are hiring computer scientists and mathematicians to team up with our experienced quant researchers to learn about quantitative finance markets. In this role, you will have opportunities to explore where your understanding of mathematics and computer science can take you in the world of Wall Street.  

We are looking for skilled individuals with a passion for quantitative areas of study and a desire to learn about the world of finance. This internship requires little to no previous financial experience. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Gain exposure to the quantitative finance industry through our challenging and rewarding Seven Eight Capital intern training program. This program culminates with an independent project in which you will be paired with an expert mentor.
• Complete a custom project based on your skills, interests and our trading environment. Your work will become a part of Seven Eight history and make an impact on real company goals and projects.

 

Qualifications:

• Graduating in 2026 or 2027 with a degree in a quantitative field (including but not limited to  Computer Science,Machine Learning,Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computational Math, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.)
• Impressive academic record. 
• Python programming ability.
• Some advanced coursework in Mathematics.
• High level understanding of Computer Science in some areas (e.g. ML, Computer Vision, NLP, Programming Languages, Distributed Computing).
• Ability to clearly communicate, brainstorm both independently and in teams, and be an excellent problem solver. 
• Previous quantitative financial internships or tech internships with large data components (a plus).
