Edged Infrastructure has an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Engineering Intern to take part in our Summer Internship Program. The Electrical Engineering Intern is a vital member of Endeavour’s Edged Infrastructure design team, working directly with the TurboCell Engineering team and focusing on developing, testing, and validating the TurboCell system.

The Electrical Engineering Intern needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Supporting lab activities including setup, analysis, design, test execution.
•    Maintain clear documentation of test activities and results databases.
•    Completing system and sub-system analysis related to test and final product.
•    Analyze, develop, and release design updates for the TurboCell system.
•    Support general electrical engineering tasks as assigned.
•    Setup and configure test equipment, including some programming.
•    Working in high power lab environment, wearing PPE as needed.

Skills & Requirements

Education / Experience

•    Pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
•    Previous experience with Power Generation Systems a plus.
•    Previous experience with industrial systems, control systems, or IoT a plus 

Specific Skills / Abilities

•    Appreciation for lab safety and attention to detail.
•    Strong communication skills and comfort working with field, engineering, and technology teams.
•    Strong curiosity for problem solving.
•    Willingness to learn turbomachinery and mission-critical equipment. 
•    Able to read and interpret engineering & construction drawings and specifications. 
•    Strong interest in data, industrial automation, reliability engineering, or digital twins. 
•    Basic circuit analysis or 3D modelling capabilities (EE focused)

Working Conditions

•    On site – with opportunities for remote work as able
•    Must reside within 30 miles of RTP (Research Triangle Park, Durham NC)
•    Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor laboratory environments and lift up to 30 lbs.
