Summary

We are seeking a Product Operations Associate specializing in digital asset market operations. As a key player in our operations, you will drive critical processes, enhance workflows, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the seamless execution of our token products. The Associate will work with various stakeholders across the industry including protocols, custodians, authorized participants, institutional service providers, and market making communities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in token operations, a passion for blockchain, financial markets, and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate should have experience in supporting operations of a digital asset-based product, particularly in stablecoins, liquid staking tokens, or other protocol-based products. An eye for systems design, improvement, and product management principles is desired. This is an excellent role for someone with a passion for digital assets, who can operate independently and reliably, has an appetite for learning new concepts and technologies quickly, and wants to operate and build blockchain products.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Product Operations Associate at 21.co Technologies, you will:

  • Manage key on-chain and off-chain operations for several blockchain-based products

Maintain vigorous attention to detail and operational excellence, ensuring flawless execution

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that drive strategic growth, leveraging new technologies and operational best practices
  • Coordinate the onboarding and ongoing good standing of trading platforms, custodians, service providers, and counterparties
  • Ensure seamless integration into operational workflows and pre/post-transaction queries 
  • Monitor and escalate operational risks across product operations, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Tackle ad-hoc challenges with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, delivering timely and effective solutions
  • Provide operational support for ad-hoc inquires, compiling data on historical transactions, fund flows, and internal controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1-6 years of experience in product operations at a significant protocol or CeFi/DeFi-based digital asset product
  • Entrepreneurial mindset seeking to operate and help build highly scalable blockchain products that provide tangible value to users
  • Strong intellectual appetite - can learn, define, develop, and implement solutions to problems
  • Experience with leading custodians and institutional infrastructure (Copper, Fireblocks, Anchorage, etc.) and trading venues (Tier 1 centralized and decentralized exchanges)
  • Demonstrated passion for blockchain technology
  • Self-starter with strong initiative to produce and deliver in an active, small team environment
  • Strong quantitative, communication and presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Experience in data analytics, quantitative analysis, and/or data manipulation 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Risk mitigation and control mindset 
  • Ability to navigate and coordinate with various groups within the organization 

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of financial and cryptocurrency markets, including derivative and spot
  • Good grasp of product management principles. As a key operator, the role will be able to grow and have an impact on product refinement, improvement, and design.
  • Python, SQL, or other technical data exploration tools
  • Familiarity with smart contracts (Solana, EVM), on-chain simulation tools (Tenderly, etc.), and token operation mechanics
  • Desire to dive deep in technical concepts and learn autodidactically

This role can be based in New York, and will be expected to work from either our New York office in a hybrid model Monday - Wednesday.

 Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
