240 Certification, a Texas-based alternative teacher certification program, is looking for another Program Advisor. This Program Advisor will guide and advise during all phases of a candidate’s teacher certification journey.
Some main responsibilities will include:
- Perform an initial evaluation of the candidate’s information and application and create a strategic plan to guide the candidate through the completion of the certification journey.
- Facilitate meetings with candidates to develop action plans for each phase of the certification journey, ensuring they are prepared for each step along the way.
- Monitor each candidate’s academic progress and promptly address any issues, including their preparation for state certification exams.
- Track precise and up-to-date records of the progress of all assigned candidates.
- Counsel candidate if personal or professional issues emerge that may affect professional development and/or performance.
- Understand and uphold 240 Certification’s policies and responsibilities.
- Prioritize time and tasks to address the evolving needs of candidates, the organization, and the schools.
- Achieve proficiency in multiple technical platforms to effectively assist candidates in navigating them.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid/active state license or certification as a teacher in the state of Texas
- 5+ years of classroom teaching experience (public schools or private education settings)
- 2+ years of work experience as a mentor, instructional coach, or in a position of helping new teachers in the classroom.
- Experience using a Learning Management System - Preferably Canvas
- Ability to travel 2-3 times per year

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
