240 Certification, a Texas-based alternative certification program, is seeking a Field Experience Coordinator to oversee and support candidates in their field placements. This role is essential in managing the systems and processes that ensure aspiring teachers have well-structured, supportive, and meaningful field experiences as they prepare for the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate field placements by partnering with schools, districts, and educational institutions.
- Maintain accurate records of placements, progress, and evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with program, state, and accreditation requirements.
- Address concerns and challenges that arise during field experiences, working collaboratively with all stakeholders to find solutions.
- Host orientation sessions, conduct regular check-ins, and provide ongoing support to candidates during office hours.
- Act as a liaison between candidates, school sites, and program leadership.
- Foster strong relationships with mentor teachers and school administrators to enhance field experience opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid/active teaching certification.
- 3+ years of teaching experience in K-12 settings.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising pre-service teachers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with teacher preparation programs, field experiences, and certification processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Holds Active Texas Teaching Certificate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in field experience coordination, student teaching supervision, or teacher preparation.
- Knowledge of state and program accreditation requirements.
- Experience using learning management systems, such as Canvas or Blackboard.
- T-TESS Certified

- Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year (depending on experience)
