The Company
240 Certification is a statewide Texas alternative certification program (ACP) that offers a full range of online certification pathways to prepare candidates for Texas teacher certification.
The Mission
The mission of the Candidate Care Agent is to manage and support applicant and candidate payments throughout the certification program while providing clear, timely, and helpful communication. This role ensures payments are set up and maintained accurately, while answering questions, facilitating calls, and guiding candidates through payment-related next steps.
Some Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee candidate payments from enrollment through completion, including payment plans, subscriptions, milestone-based billing, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Monitor payment activity daily to ensure compliance with program policy and timely completion of payment-related actions.
- Communicate with candidates regarding balances, failed payments, and next steps via phone, email, and text while delivering excellent customer service.
- Assist candidates with the payment portal (updating cards, paying invoices, troubleshooting issues) and process additional items such as remediation, transfer fees, and extensions.
- Manage account status changes, including access restrictions, reactivation, and withdrawal-related tasks (canceling subscriptions, updating records, and sending confirmations), while collaborating with internal teams and protecting candidate information.
- Facilitate calls, texts, emails, etc. with applicants to help provide information and guidance throughout the application process while demonstrating care, confidence, and adaptability.
- Effectively use the CRM software, Google Sheets, and the state’s and EPP’s electronic databases/platforms to access/input information for applicants and candidates
Required:
- Eligibility to work within the US as a W2 employee
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience
- Access to a remote working area
- Availability during the hours of 9:00-5:00 pm CST Monday through Friday, working both internal and external communications (customer-facing on virtual calls)
- Ability to travel 2-3 times per year
- Empathetic approach paired with consistent adherence to program policy
Nice to Haves:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Previous Texas Alternative Certification (EEP) experience
- Certified teaching experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 + variable bonus
