What We Need

The Director, HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner, a credible voice, and a trusted advisor to executive leadership and teams within 2K Publishing. 

This is a strategic and hands-on position that will support multiple clients.  You will use a data-driven approach to lead organizational design and implement talent management, succession planning, compensation, and retention strategies. This work will require strong stakeholder management to ensure alignment and support for initiatives that directly support business objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a strategic partner to executive leaders, building trusted relationships and offering guidance on complex people and business issues.
  • Drive organizational design and change management initiatives, ensuring our structure, roles, and processes are optimized for global scale and business goals.
  • Proactively manage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders across all levels and functions, bridging the gap between business needs and HR strategy.
  • Partner with People COEs and global HRBP teams to deliver seamless HR processes and programs.
  • Advise, deliver, and drive the adoption and execution of key HR program cycles, including performance feedback, compensation, promotions, and annual workforce planning.
  • Provide strategic and hands-on coaching to leaders, focusing on people development and performance management.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team to build talent and succession strategies that support team growth and individual development.
  • Partner with Employee Relations and Legal to address situations and diagnose underlying ER issues,  developing proactive strategies to address them.
  • Champion and embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into our organizational design, talent strategy, and programs.

What Will Make You a Great Fit

  • Strategic HR Experience:   Extensive HR Business Partner experience ( 7-10 years), specifically in fast-paced technology environments. You have a generalist background,  comfortable with a wide range of HR functions. Gaming industry is a huge plus.
  • IInfluence and Relationship Building: The ability  to develop and maintain strong, effective relationships at all levels of the organization. You are a strategic influencer, adept at managing diverse stakeholders, capable of driving major initiatives and influencing decision-makers.
  • Business Acumen: More than just HR knowledge. You have a deep understanding of business operations and are able to connect HR strategy to broader business goals. You are able to articulate the value of new programs and initiatives from a business perspective, not just a people one.
  • Adaptability and Proactivity: Proactive, able to  anticipate business needs, offer solutions, and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.  You assess and understand the existing company culture before attempting to make changes.
  • Drive with Urgency and Tenacity Relentless pursuit of solutions that drive the business forward. You move with urgency, adapt quickly to ambiguity and have a bias for action.
  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You are an articulate and persuasive communicator who can build a compelling, data-driven narrative and deliver effective senior-level presentations.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $150,500 and $225,500 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
